Mostly pictures…

Mostly pictures of cool stuff I encounter. This first one is disconcerting though. I was taking a picture of a wall I might paint. There was a road between it and myself. A bus drives right into view. See the boy in there? he looks like he might be thinking; what does he think about? Does he have any idea how many things are arranged against him? He’s already in public school. They’ll teach him that there is no God. He’ll be continually bombarded with movies about violence and immorality. They’ll not teach him to question or learn about why the economy doesn’t work. he’ll grow up not knowing what’s wrong with his employment, marriage or politics; and he’ll raise his children the same way.

It’s sad to me, it’s a form of child abuse.

busI often take pictures of trucks, mostly old trucks. I need to find a place to make the original larger picture available to the public. Maybe anonymous FTP. Maybe the cloud. here are some new wheels and tires.coolTrTiresI found a cool blog called “weapons man”. He recently had A POST about perceptions. Since then, I’ve started taking notes of the things I misperceive. The next picture is how I saw a bin the first day. I thought, “Neat, that’s where they keep RR spikes. The next day, I realized I was wrong.spikes_1spikes_2

Desperate revenge?

In the previous post, I wrote about a dismal dream I had. I clearly recall wondering why I had the dream, and remembering that I hadn’t prayed for Russia the night before. Things I pray about: Safety and wisdom for President Putin, prime minister Medevev, secretary of state Lavrov, and chief of staff Shiogu. Also safety for the pilots in Syria. I pray that the people of Russia are able to deal with the sanctions, pray about AIDS, abortion, alcoholism, drug use, and tuberculosis. I pray that people will have the wisdom to keep wicked movies and TV out of their homes.

Maybe the dream was a warning to me about not missing prayer. That God answers prayer is obvious in my life; He answered a prayer this morning, it was a joy. I’m of the opinion that President Obama’s actions toward Russia are vindictive. A new concern is that if he feels he hasn’t exacted enough revenge before he leaves office, he’ll do something worse.

The Bible tells us to pray for our own leaders, that we may live peaceable lives. If I recall, it doesn’t tell us to pray for the leaders of other counties. It’s difficult to pray for the leaders of the US. I do pray that God would hinder their plans. I also pray that God would change their hearts, but that one seems so unlikely that I have to force myself to pray it. Praying for Russia is easy. They are resisting the wicked empire building of the West. The Western countries liberate smaller counties so that they can have their first rainbow pride parade. When the Greeks brought their culture to a defeated foe, it was called the Helenization of that land. Maybe we could call ours the Elleniztion of conquered foes?

Seriously though, please join me in praying for the well being of Russia and her people.

……………..

Speaking of prayer, one should always remember Proverbs chapter 15, verse 3, where it says that The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. That way, you can know for certain that even if you don’t know who left an alcohol bottle by the road, God does, and he will work in their life. I have a few things like that I’ve kept over the years. Below is a picture of one that stays in the back of my truck, along with tools and supplies. The extra labeling is so that police officers won’t think I’m driving around drinking it myself.

A conspiracy under every rock, I’ve got to be careful that I don’t think that way. The problem of course is that there -are- a number of real conspiracies out there. So here’s something I’m wondering about; people with more technical knowledge might say “Oh that’s easy, what you don’t realize is that…”

Have you ever used C_clean? It’s a utility tool for your computer, to keep it running faster. I’ve used it for years, it’s very convenient. That’s the point; try and find a process cleaner that’s anywhere NEAR as easy to use. I would say 75 percent of software applications have a process that starts up and runs constantly when the computer is on. I guess this is to make their program come to life faster when you go to use it. The problem is that having 50 things running slows down your computer. I wish someone made a really simple process cleaner that identifies which processes are necessary to run the operating system (Windows, Linux, etc.) Then I could disable the others from starting up every time the computer starts.

Maybe the thing is easily resolved by knowing where to look for this elusive process cleaner. But I can’t help wonder if that would eliminate government spyware.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

I ordered and received a Cyrillic keyboard online. There were a lot for sale in the mid $40 to mid $50 range, but I got one for $3 plus shipping. I got it, and it works well. I had to activate another language in Windows, and at least 2 programs don’t recognize the language/keyboard combination. Those 2 happen to be the ones I wanted it to work with the most, they being for graphic art productions. I does however work well with Open Office software. I remembered how Open Office has a draw program (vector editing) included in the suite. So I tried it in their draw program, and it worked very well. I then copied the text from Open Office into Inkscape. It’s a lot simpler than it sounds. Now I can easily add Russian Bible Verses to some of my free clipart offerings at the Inkscape free vectors gallery. I have one in mind that I’m looking forward to.

Speaking of Russia, I go to web sites that have a pro-Russian view, because I don’t trust most Western sources. I had a dream about a week ago, it was rather vivid, and I remembered it. It was dismal, but I thought I should post it online, in the event it was a warning of sorts, and not merely my imagination. I posted it at the news site I frequent the most, thinking that since I’ve commented there many times, it might give it more credibility. In the dream, President Putin died in an airplane crash. I was among the people searching the crash site for debris. Yes, dreams are strange. The ground was dark black and smooth, like some sort of rock. I found a metal object, which I was told was a family heirloom. It was silver color, cylindrical in shape, had a couple ridges going around it, and was about 6 inches in diameter.

crashDebrisI’ve been commenting there for quite awhile, but I wonder if any friendship or credibility I had is wrecked. Some people merely burn bridges, I nuke them. There’s a lake forming as we speak. Maybe I should have been more tactful in my choice of words. Maybe I should have sent the message to the FSB. They would have thought “Another idiot American. What is that, the fourth one this week?” Maybe I’m supposed to channel this sort of thing through American agencies. But they would say “Harm the Russians? Good! We’ll send this message right along…next year.”

Sigh, you try to do the right thing.nukedBridgeMore strange dreams? OK, I had one this morning, maybe it was yesterday. For whatever reason, I needed to travel with my brother in law out of town for a few days. Money was tight, so he arranged for us to take care of somebody’s gas station for a few days. Everything went fine, but on the last day, as I was holding a clear plastic bag full of cash from gas sales; two police officers showed up and were treating us as though we were suspicious. They told me to go sit down while they questioned my brother in law. It was then that I realized I never saw their patrol car. They merely walked on the premises. I started thinking that maybe they weren’t police at all; but then I awoke.

Darwin, progress, & more

You’ve no doubt heard the old saying about politicians: “If their mouth is moving, they’re lying.” We need a similar one that tells you to expect the opposite of what they say. “Patriot Act” comes to mind. Look at the places that hate God and endorse Darwin.

DarwinPrgrAnother old saying that I could modify: “Be sure brain is engaged before putting mouth in gear.” I could change it to something about brain engaged before operating power tools. Well, I guess I could include all tools. Below is a picture of where I stabbed myself with a philips bit mounted in an impact driver. I was thinking about it, wondering if Christ will mention it when I get there. I wondered if he would show me all the injuries at once. OK, sure, weird contemplation, but you were already warned. It reminded me of something similar I thought of years back: what if you could stand in a place, out in the country somewhere, and see every human footprint that ever walked across that place? Like they would be glowing in the twilight. Maybe the oldest ones would have a fainter glow. What would the British countryside look like?

As for my hands, there would be hundreds of nicks, cuts, stabs, and abrasions. Bad abrasions. Figuring that I’m in my fifties, and starting at ten years of age, with at least 3 a year; that would be 150 at least.  OK, the countryside thing is better.

stabThe good news is that I inflicted the blunt stab (it was DRIPPING BLOOD, ooh-gross) while doing another father – child project. I needed a smaller tool box than the one on my truck, but longer than most of the ones that are sold. Here’s a picture of one end, but you can see a lot more details at my other site:

Is it Hillary Clinton that goes around talking about a “vast right wing conspiracy”? Am I mistaken, or does THAT sound like a conspiracy? Guess it depends on who’s saying it. It’s getting to the point that the truth is the direct opposite of what the progressives say. They in fact, are part of a vast conspiracy. The Republicans are more like opportunists and wind sock politicians.

There is a really neat video on the internet about a huge restored steam engine in England. Three stories tall, I think. It was used to pump water to London. Beautiful work. Every detail, even the steps for personnel are beautiful. A small sign is briefly shown, with the words “This machine has no brain, use your own.” Awesome.

I was in a hurry the other morning; left the house before more coffee could be made. I had this idea that an enterprising person might get a van and drones, to carry coffee to people waiting in traffic. CoffeeDrone Probably just weird, but hey if you make a few million off it, remember me. The picture is a logo, not a suggestion of a really BIG drone. Besides, what would that gal do in a gust of wind?

Typical modern mindset:

according to the Knoxville News Sentinel, 1/29/2016, General Sessions Judge Amanda Sammons changed a defendant’s charges without notifying her. She made the charges worse, to be sure this bad person got what she deserved. Our universities are turning out such fine graduates.

I wanted this as a font, but an English language search turned up nothing. So I made it my self. Below is a picture of the file, but it’s not very useful for graphic art projects. To get the free vector, go to – THIS – link.

The verse from Psalm 1 came from ‘The Word’, which is free, powerful software. You can get that – HERE -. I’m not fluent in Russian, so I hope the quality is acceptable.

Are we not shocked anymore?

America drives 100 M.P.H. past the warning signs, and the progressives count on people forgetting yesterday’s news. One thing that could be done is to have info graphics that list events of the last 2 years, events they’d rather have forgotten.

I awoke this morning with a heaviness about the indictment of the Planned Parenthood expose people. I am recommitted in my preparations to move.SEWERShhhhSomebody made a WordPress plugin that allows SVG vector images to be inserted in a page. I wanted that for a long time, they will start appearing here soon. I have a new blog about restoration, in my world, there’s plenty of material to write about. The latest is a breakthrough in applying theme to one’s vehicle, the heavy duty look, that is. Here’s a picture, and a link to the blog:

The 4 D’s and more…

How do progressives rationalize the destruction brought by their diversity? How a progressive dies: Delusion of Dignity in Death by Diversity.dignityI have encounters with Muslim people, and it seems they have strict rules to be observed; but not a discernment about what is behind the rules. For instance, in Christianity many don’t listen to rock music; but it’s not a rule about a speed of tempo, or a list of approved instruments. It’s having an ear for what is proud and rebellious, what is sensual or aggressive.I’m not sure Islam has that.

In the Christian bible, it says husbands love your wives. It appears that in Islam, you don’t have to win a woman’s favor, just take what you want. I’m wondering if there will come a time when young western guys realize that in Islam, there are some rules to be strictly observed, but lots of leeway elsewhere.

On to Donald Trump. Well, actually not about him, but he’s involved. I don’t have the wording verbatim, but NPR was airing an interview with a famous guy; I think he was a guest on Saturday Night Live, when Donald Trump was hosting. Don’t expect me to remember famous star names, because I haven’t had a TV in about 27 years; and man am I glad. Anyway, the parties in the interview were quite glib about wanting to know which era Donald Trump would like to go back to. Was it Jim Crow? Some other oppressive era?

Easy to get caught of guard by that I suppose; but a few seconds of thought will produce the answer…how about a time when the country wasn’t 19 trillion dollars in debt that it couldn’t repay? How about a time when Americans had the sense to avoid foreign wars if possible? how about a time when a man that wanted to work could get a job at a factory and support his family? Now most of the factories are gone. What factories and construction jobs are here are filled by ‘recent immigrants’. That’s just the beginning of the answer.

Do these people actually think minority communities are better off now than then? Look at the unemployment rate, look at the crime rate. Look at the way young Black people dress, and the music they listen to. The lyrics treat the young women like a piece of meat, not a lovely young lady (which she could be). It’s self destruction; but I guess as long as Whitey’s not doing it, well, they’re so much better off. It’s that 4 D’s thing again, Black version. The progressives are using racial diversity to bring behavioral diversity.

As usual, there’s a lot going on. I might have mentioned it already, but I bought a 1987 Toyota pickup. Man, does it run sweet. It was in the salt of New York State for 6 years, so it has some problems, but it fits the debt free program. I’ve started a blog called The Restoration; it covers a number of my restoration projects. It can be seen > HERE.1987_ToyotaNow, some random pictures. I’ve probably seen blue clouds before, but they didn’t stand out the way this one did. It’s not the sky showing through. blueCloudMy son got a plastic snow sliding board majiggy for Christmas. We had no snow at the time, so on a rather frosty morning, he took it down a steep hill in the pasture. One must always remember the changes in physical properties that temperature can bring. Frozen Moo-doo is apparently pretty solid.crackedMy wife’s nephew drives a semi, which he just about owns. He said that some companies help a guy get financing for a big rig, and send hims lots of work for awhile. But later, the work trickles off, and ownership of the truck reverts to the company, because the driver can’t afford it. Watch for that one. Anyway, we were working on an outdoor project, and he backed up his tractor to shine his new LED lights on our work. There were some neat (weird?) pictures to be had, if one got the camera and tripod. One of those pictures is looking up at the bottom of a tree’s branches.treeNight2

Random thoughts, 1_9_2016

No particular order:

I was at a blog where a comment was made in the typical detached allegedly unbiased way about neither Christianity or Islam being credible beliefs. The point was that since Christianity is being minimized by the progressives; then Islam will come and take its place. I replied that I was impressed at this insight, but that it’s not an accident, the progressives and the government are quite deliberate. I cited the time it took the government to call the shooting of the recruiters as something other than ‘workplace violence’ and how long they claimed they didn’t know the motive of the recent shooting in San Bernadino. It’s obvious they’re selectively covering for one religion.

The first commenter then ignored what I said, and reiterated his position with more verbiage and force. Then the site administrator made a reply, and the first guy was no longer the calm unbiased guy; he was in full mockery and distraction mode. I’ve read that there’s a method for writing troll propaganda pieces; A way to start, repeat, and end. Repeat  he did. I’m wondering if it wouldn’t be an effective anti troll method to simply reply with a list that numbers the oft repeated terms in the troll’s comment. For instance: Irrational 4, Outdated 3, Superstitious 3.

I was driving down the road and noticed that a house up on a hill had recently put a rather large cut-out cartoony picture of a bird on an exterior wall between two windows. Like 5 feet tall at least. I was glad to see somebody liberated enough to do that. It appeared to be executed well enough, but the design was a bit lacking. Then I remembered how often I do the exact same thing with my own work. Like, it will pass, but I wish I had done it differently. I want to remember this as a principle; that being the second designer is easier than being the first.

Had an ongoing series of text messages with my wife the other day, part of it involved joking around about paint fumes that I was working with. I was rhyming my texts. One was: “If I was Amish, I’d be the Yeoder affected by the odor”.

I guess it’s a couple times a year that I go back and read Matthew Chapter 24, to see how it fits the times. This time verse 10 stood out; I suppose because of all the mentally unstable behavior in this country. Couldn’t it be said that Satan’s first rebellion was betrayal? Watch for more of it in our day.
